Where young creatives come to create

Hackney Young Collective is a creative community for young people aged 18-30 who want to gain experience, develop new skills, and bring ideas to life.

Whether you're pursuing a career in the arts, looking to build your confidence, expand your network, or simply searching for a space where you can be creative and meet like-minded people, this project is for you.

Make theatre. Build skills. Meet people.

Through hands-on theatre making, collaboration, mentoring, and real-world creative projects, you’ll work alongside industry professionals to explore new ideas, develop your practice, and create original work.

We believe that creativity thrives when people are given the opportunity to experiment, learn from one another, and be part of something bigger than themselves.

This is a place to build skills, discover opportunities, form meaningful connections, and take the next step in your creative journey.

What do we do?

  • Offer a free weekly creative space for 18–30-year old’s
  • Work side by side with industry professionals
  • Get 1:1 support from our experienced team to build a plan for your future
  • Devise, produce and perform new work
  • Showcase your work in a theatre

When?

  • Introductory Sessions (5 weeks): 24th September - 22nd October
  • Development and Planning: 5th October - 3rd December
  • Break: 4th December - 6th January
  • Rehearsals: 7th - 28th January
  • Production week: TBC - this will be dependent on venue availability either week of 25th January or 1st February
  • Show: TBC
